How long have you been on DeviantArt?
Ten years. Yeah, I'm an old. No...actually, I joined *evil laughter* before I was thirteen. Such a rebel! I have the funniest fucking story about that, actually. I joined at the time, and was so freaked out, because I thought this was some kind of professional art site and I was going to get in trouble. No, really. Oh, to be twelve again...
What does your username mean?
My username was the name of an OC I created as a sort of escape from some trauma I was experiencing at the time. PTSD when you don't know you even have it is a great thing, eh? I kept it for so many years that I still use the Kyoko part because I honestly still like to obtain some anonymity online. Also, I was twelve at the time.
Yeah, we all went through that weeaboo phase, shut up.
Describe yourself in three words.
Always screwing up.
Are you left or right handed?
Normally I'd respond saying right handed, but these days, it's whatever friggin' hand has the most strength to do the job. :/
What was your first deviation?
While I submitted that when I was twelve, I drew that when I was ten. I always wanted to do a redraw thing for this one, but never got around to it. That's depressing.To be honest, my ten-year-old self can draw better than I can most days, anyway. That's rather terrifying. I certainly had more style...
What is your favourite type of art to create?
Huh. Well. Interesting, not sure I put much thought into this one. As far as drawing is concerned, I don't have a particular favorite. It used to be anime until I started moving away from it to learn realism. Plus, I just started drifting from the anime/manga scene as it was.
For a more broad spectrum answer, music would be my favorite. Ha! How's that for a curve ball answer for you?
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Probably traditional painting. While I utterly despise the process (mostly mixing colors oh my how INFURIATING), I realize after actually doing it how well I was at doing it. This coming from a person who makes it an Olympic sport to insult herself. I just needed to really practice with that medium more and I think I could really do something with it. Unfortunately, it came at a time right when I was starting to get sick.
Oh well, life goes on.
What was your first favourite?
That's accurate. So accurate it hurts. My obsession with Genkai was incomparable. To be honest not much as changed...I just got done going on a favoriting and commenting spree...What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Well, based on what I managed to organize a while back, it's a mix between fandom related things and graphic related things (since I was a graphic designer).
Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
Oh goodness. Well, I have inspirations more than favorites. Euclase, collectingbees, tagl, Scented-Recon...so many wonderful people have inspired me, some friends, some just people I admire from a distance. But I admire all of the people I watch, or I wouldn't watch them.
If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
I owe a great deal to Scented-Recon for many reasons, and I would also love to meet collectingbees as well. You can't make me choose!
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Scented-Recon verbally kicked my ass soooo many years ago when I was being too self-pitiful and trapped in my own pain for so many reasons, it doesn't matter. I needed it and she helped me save myself. To be honest, I never got to properly thank her for that.
What are your preferred tools to create art?
Shit ton of pencils, a good eraser, scanner, Wacom Intuos 4, Painter X3, Manga Studio 5, Adobe Photoshop CS6, Paint Tool Sai
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Philosophically, in my head. Geographically, in my bedroom.
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
When a stupid ass Paramore wallpaper I made got 10k views and downloads. No comments. In a short amount of time. I have no idea what the stats are now. I am afraid to check. It still pisses me off to this day.
Okay, it's not a 'favorite' memory so much as one that stands out the most. Forgive me.
